Gradeplan was founded in 2010 by Terry Keane who has over 30 years of international experience working in the textile industry. His broad knowledge which includes pattern creation, lay planning, costing and cutting room consultancy, has contributed towards the success of prominent manufacturers in the UK and overseas.

His experience in creating patterns extends to a wide range of garments for men, women and children in product areas such as outerwear, lingerie, swimwear and more diverse areas such as military and police protective wear where challenging fabrics like Kevlar and chain mesh are commonly used.

The experience gained from working in countries such as China, Sri Lanka and Morocco has given Terry a detailed understanding of how large manufacturing companies conduct their businesses.  He has been able to introduce new ways of working to ensure best practise is adopted, not only in the production environment but also in the early development stages where real added value should be designed into new product.

Terry has designed the internal structures of raw material warehouses and cutting rooms. He has taken a lead role in staff management, training and development and formulated policies and procedures in relation to the effective use of raw materials.

Gradeplan offers far more than a grading and lay planning service. In addition to the services listed above Gradeplan has associations with many other textile related businesses so whether you are having problems with quality control, struggling to source a fabric or need sewing or cutting equipment at competitive prices give us a call and we can offer a solution. 01744 603417  or  07967107475
